What comes out ... - Launch of edition 1.2



Word, image, sound, voice, body.

When spoken word is queered it changes form. It slips and slides. It cannot be placed into syle. It refuses some genres and co-opts others.

Come to a night of queered spoken words to help celebrate the launch of Writing from Below, Australia's omly peer-reviewed open-access gender, sexuality and diversity studies journal.

Hosted by Margret Mayhem, this spoken-from-below evening will feature readings and performances by Marion May Campbell, Dominique Hecq, Reverse Butcher, Jax Jackie Brown, John Stevens and Karinna Quinn. The journal will be launched by La Trobe University professor Dennis Altman (Vice-Chancellor's Fellow) and Dr Carol D'Cruz (program convenor, GSDS).
